The Superior Filtration Products SafeLock is a side serviced filter housing used for the filtration of dangerous or toxic biological, radiological or carcinogenic materials. Designed to meet the needs of industries and reasearch facilities that handle these materials, the SafeLock is a Bag In/Bag Out system that minimizes exposure to harmful materials by utilizing a PVC bag that is attached to a “bagging ring” behind the access door. After the initial installation of filters is completed, all filters - both dirty and new - are handled through the bag. The SafeLock Bag In/Bag Out filter housing can accomadate an array of filter arrangements including prefilters, HEPA filters, and carbon absorbers.
Regardless of the type of filters that have been installed in the SafeLock housing, the filter change procedure is the same. SafeLock housings are designed to accommodate standard 12" deep, gasketed HEPA filters and absorbers. |
|
SafeLock Bag-In/Bag-Out Housing Features:
-
Constructed of unpainted 11 and 14 gauge 300 series stainless steel
-
Fully welded interior boundry joints to withstand 10" W.G.
-
Smooth inlet design to limit the build-up of dangerous contaminants
-
Bag-In/Bag-Out design uses a PVC bag and change-out procedures to strictly limit exposure to harmful or toxic materials

The Superior Filtration Products EnviroLock Side Access HEPA/ULPA Filter Housing is designed for use with 12 inch (nominal) deep HEPA/ULPA filters. The EnviroLock Housing is a factory assembled and flanged unit designed for use with gel, fluid, or gasket sealed HEPA filters. The primary HEPA/ULPA filters and prefilters (if any) are serviced through the same gasketed side access door.
EnviroLock Housings may be used with standard HEPA/ULPA filters of the range between 95% and 99.99% DOP efieciency. Our standard housings accept 12 inch (nominal) deep, 24” x 24” (actual) face size filters arranged from one filter high and one filter wide, to four filters high and six filters wide. For those times when large housings are not a practical design solution, smaller units may be assembled into a housing array in the field. |
|
EnviroLock Type "G" and Type "F" Housing Features:
-
Strong & Durable: 14-gauge stainless or galvanized steel construction and silicone sealant withstands internal pressures of ± 3.0 water gauge.
-
Sealing Integrity: Stainless steel filter locking mechanism for strength, durability, and long term integrity.
-
Ease of Access: Access for up to three filters and prefilters in width per door to facilitate quick and easy filter changeouts.
-
Economy of Use: Particulate and gas/vapor filtration can be combined in one system of housings for increased economy of use - Versatility: All EnviroLock Housings are built to the same design specifications. This allows for the option of arranging different sized housing “modules” in series or stacked arrays to meet any application specification and/or criteria
- Minimize Energy Usage: Straight air passage through the housing provides a lower resistance to airflow and minumizes energy usage

Consider your filter style to choose your EnviroLock Housing type
Superior Filtration Products manufactures our EnviroLock housings in two types. Type “F” housings are used for gel or fluid sealing type filters. Type “G” housings are used for gasket sealing type filters. The type of filter also determines the style of filter locking mechanism.
The type “F” locking mechanism for the gel/fluid seal model housing is a stainless steel handoperated arm that moves the filter’s gel filled sealing channel onto and off of the housing's internal knife edge sealing flange during filter installation and change operations. The gel seal guarantees filter-to-frame sealing and is recommended for critical applications.
The type "G" locking mechanism for gasket seal model housings is a stainless steel and brass, screw operated device. The mechanism presses the gasketed filter against the housing’s sealing surface by means of a mechanical ACME screw and thrust block assembly that is manually adjusted using a standard 3/4-inch socket or wrench. This type of sealing and locking system is suitable for most applications.
| We will also consult with you to fill your needs for filter housings to hold your Superior Filtration Products filters. Our housing styles range from extruded aluminum track frames to fully sealed, duct mountable HEPA type enclosures.
